260 global scientists apply for VAJRA scheme

Nearly 260 global scientists filed applications for the government’s Visiting Advanced Joint Research (VAJRA) Faculty scheme, that invites foreign scientists in the Indian research and development ecosystem, a senior official said. 70 applicants would be shortlisted for the programme by the end of this month, the official added. The scientists selected will begin their work by December.PTI
