Natwar meets Manmohan

New Delhi: Minister without portfolio K. Natwar Singh met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh here on Saturday, a day after Parliament was disrupted over allegations made by Aniel Matherani, India's ambassador to Croatia (since recalled), against him in the oil-for-food scam.

National Security Adviser M.K. Narayanan was also present at the hour-long meeting, which took place in the background of a feeling within the Congress that the former Foreign Minister had caused sufficient embarrassment to the party and that it was time he resigned from the Cabinet. However, there were indications that Mr. Singh was disinclined to listen to such voices.
