Lufthansa to increase flights between Chennai, Frankfurt

NEW DELHI APRIL 9. Lufthansa Airlines is expanding its Boeing 747-400 non-stop services between Chennai and Frankfurt from three to six flights a week. With these additions,

Lufthansa aims to strengthen its position as the foremost European carrier in India, offering the largest number of flights per week. India is the only country in Lufthansa's Asia-Pacific network to which the airline operates through four separate gateways — New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Bangalore.

The German airlines said that it now offered a total number of 23 flights per week out of India with daily flights each from New Delhi and Mumbai, six from Chennai and three from Bangalore.
