Indian ship turned back by coalition forces

Dubai March 30. Iraq today said an Indian vessel was among three ships that were turned back by the United States-led coalition forces from the southern port of Umm Qasr. An Indian ship carrying 13,000 tonnes of sugar was not allowed to unload its cargo by the coalition, the Iraqi Information Minister, Mohammed Saeed Sahhaf, said in Baghdad.

The ship, along with two others including a Brazilian vessel, was forced to turn back, he told reporters while commenting on the reported humanitarian aid given by coalition forces. — PTI
