Delhi police in dilemma

NEW DELHI, DEC. 22. The Delhi police are in a dilemma following Pakistan's refusal to accept the bodies of the five Pakistan-based `fidayeen' involved in the December 13 attack on Parliament.

Sources here said the police were unable to decide whether to dispose of the bodies or not. About two days ago, police had communicated to the Delhi Waqf Board for the burial of the bodies. However, the idea was dropped for some unknown reason. The bodies have now been preserved at Lady Hardinge Medical College mortuary here after post-mortem.

Earlier, the burial was delayed after the Centre asked the CBI to investigate whether one of the slain `fidayeens', Mohammad, was also involved in the hijacking of Indian Airlines IC-814 from Kathmandu, as claimed by Mohammad Afzal, one of the accused in the case.
