Cong. hits back with ‘false promises’ charge

July 12, 2018 12:00 am | Updated 05:07 am IST - New Delhi

The Congress accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of making “false promises” to farmers and said that the claims he made during the rally in Punjab was mere “jumla” (rhetoric).

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s first farmer rally in Punjab after announcing the ‘jumla’ of MSP was an epic flop. There were no farmers in the rally, neither the rented crowd, nor their own BJP workers were impressed by his speech laced with white lies,” Congress spokesperson Priyanka Chaturvedi said.
