Case may be filed against Gustad's associate

MUMBAI, JUNE 1. Police may register a case against Ashish Udeshi, associate of film director Kaizad Gustad, for lodging a ``false complaint' that Mr. Gustad's assistant, Nadia Khan, had died in a road accident, though she had been killed in a rail accident at the Mahalaxmi railway station on May 25.

Police said that Mr. Udeshi's claim was proved false when Mr. Gustad said on Monday that it was a rail accident.

An independent probe by the city police has also concluded that the 27-year-old British national had died after she was hit by a train.

"The investigations of Nadia Khan's death are likely to be handed over to the Railway police and Udeshi may also be booked today," the DCP Zone IV, Ashok Dongre, who supervised the investigations said.
