Manmohan to visit Haryana

CHANDIGARH: Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said on Saturday that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was likely to visit Haryana on June 16 and inaugurate warehouses constructed at a cost of Rs. 300 crore in Kaithal.

Talking to media persons at Hisar, Mr.Hooda added that the PM’s programme was being finalized and hence the schedule of thanksgiving rally at Adampur on June 15 could be amended.

Regarding the ongoing Gujjar agitation in neighbouring Rajasthan, Mr. Hooda said that in Haryana, there was no issue of reservation for Gujjars. In case the BJP Government in Rajasthan had made any promise to give the Gujjars the status of a Scheduled Tribe, it should fulfill its promise, he added.

Asked whether the newly-elected MLAs of Indri and Gohana would be inducted in the State Cabinet, he said that there were other MLAs too.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister announced to set up a Media School in Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology in Hisar.

Speaking after laying the foundation stone of the Haryana School of Business and Knowledge Park , he said that this would be the first University in the country to have a Knowledge Park.
