Haryana to strengthen power network

CHANDIGARH: Haryana has made a comprehensive plan to strengthen the transmission and distribution network in Rohtak, under which a 400-KV, two 220-KV, one 132-KV and five new 33-KV sub-stations would be set up, Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda announced on Saturday.

Talking to reporters after laying the foundation stone for a 33-KV sub-station in Rohtak, he said Rs.250 crore would be spent on strengthening the power network in the town.

Mr. Hooda asserted that the State government was committed to supplying power for 20 to 22 hours daily to rural consumers in the State by the end of the next two years.
