ITANAGAR (ARUNACHAL PRADESH): The Bharatiya Janata Party on Saturday demanded that the Centre pursue a proactive policy to counter what it alleged as “growing Chinese threat” over Arunachal Pradesh.

BJP president Rajnath Singh said that due to the ‘weak’ policy of the Centre, China had been making repeated claims over the State. He demanded that the government clarify the actual status of the India-China border. He said that when China was building up “pressure” on India, the Centre was seeking to brush it all aside as “media hype.”
