Another college faces closure in Australia

Melbourne: A private college in Victoria is reportedly on the verge of closing down leaving the fate of several Indian students in limbo even as thousands of foreign students prepare to march on Wednesday in Sydney demanding public transport concessional card.

The College of Creative Arts and Technology in Hawthorn is likely to become the fourth private training college to shut down in two months.

“The college must be having couple of hundred Indian students studying,” Federation of Indian Students of Australia (FISA) president Amit Menghani told PTI.

The recent closure is a part of Australian government efforts to weed out dodgy educational institutions to prevent exploitation of Indian students.
