Amar Singh unhappy with Ram Gopal Yadav

AZAMGARH: Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Amar Singh on Monday said he had no problems with party chief Mulayam Singh, but was unhappy with the latter’s cousin, Ram Gopal Yadav, who, he alleged, had abused him before the media.

“I have no problems with Mulayam Singhji. But, I have been pained by the public comments of Prof. Ram Gopal Yadav, who has abused me on TV channels,” Mr. Singh, who is on a visit to his native district Azamgarh, told mediapersons here. He also alleged that Mr. Ram Gopal Yadav had abused film personalities who had whole-heartedly campaigned for the party in the past. “These very film personalities had sweated it out while campaigning for the SP in elections,” said Mr. Amar Singh, who recently quit all key party posts.

Describing Mr. Mulayam Singh as a “brave commander,” Mr. Amar Singh said it was this quality that catapulted him to the post of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister thrice. — PTI
