Yogesh, Dilip and Rohit in joint lead

KOLKATA, AUG. 30. Three players, Yogesh Gore of Maharashtra, Dilip Das of Bengal and G. Rohit of Andhra Pradesh, shared the top spot with four points each at the end of the fourth round of the second WBCA-organised FIDE rated chess tournament at the Khudiram Indoor Hall here on Thursday.

Lying in the joint second place were 13 players including the top seed FM Joerg Schwalfenberg of Germany with 3.5 points. Two rounds were gone through on the third day today. Friday will also see two rounds of action.

Dilip Das won a brilliant 16-move game against R.K. Mishra of Madhya Pradesh in a French Defence Tarrasch variation. On the 10th move, Mishra went out of the theory and played a dubious move to lose his queen on the 16th.
