Two arrested for selling fake dollar notes

RANCHI, JULY 12. Police seized two fake U.S. dollar notes in the denomination of one billion and one million and arrested two persons, Suresh Kumar Thakur and Vinod Kejriwal in this connection.

Senior superintendent of police, Mr. Gupteshwar Pandey, said Thakur and Kejriwal and their associates were selling these ``notes'' for Rs. 30,000 and Rs. 25,000 respectively. He said they were being interrogated to ascertain whether they were part of any fake currency racket.

Police also recovered fake revenue stamps worth Rs. 37,760 in the denomination of one rupee each.
