Three commit suicide

BANGALORE, MARCH 17. Three persons committed suicide by consuming poison in as many incidents reported from Sriramapuram and Girinagar police station limits.

The police said Mohan Kumar (27), an autorickshaw driver and a resident of 2nd Cross, Sriramapuram, consumed poison at the Harishchandra Ghat burial ground on Wednesday.

In another incident also reported from the Sriramapuram Police Station limits, Raju (29), a petrol bunk employee, committed suicide at his house in Dayanandanagar on Wednesday.

The Sriramapuram Police have registered cases.

A body of a man aged around 35 was found on a vacant site near Sita Circle in the Girinagar Police Station limits on Thursday. Passers-by informed the police. The man is suspected to have committed suicide by consuming poison.

Falls to death

A security guard at a fashion design institute on Mysore Road died when he accidentally fell from the staircase in the early hours of Thursday. The name of the dead was given as Raje Gowda (55) of Kenchanahalli. The Byatarayanapura Police have registered a case.

Furniture destroyed

Electronic appliances and furniture were destroyed in a fire that broke out at a jeweller's house in the Banashankari Police limits on Thursday.
