The Hindu guidance programme

BANGALORE: The Hindu EducationPlus is organising "Pre-Counselling Guidance Programmes" for students seeking admission to professional courses in Karnataka. The guidance programmes will be held on Monday in Bangalore at 10 a.m.

The programme will provide an opportunity to students to interact with an eminent panel of speakers from the field of education. It will give students an insight into what courses to opt for, career prospects and admission procedures. The programme will be inaugurated by the Minister for Higher Education, D. Manjunath, who will also give away prizes to students who topped the mock CET conducted by The Hindu.

In Bangalore, the Special Officer of the CET Cell, D.N. Nayak, will provide information on the admission process for CET rank-holders. The other speakers in Bangalore include the Vice-Chancellor of Visvesvaraya Technological University, K. Balaveera Reddy; the Director of PES Group of Institutions, Jawahar; the COMED-K representative, S. Kumar; the Vice-President (Human Resources), Infosys, Hema Ravichandar; and the Executive Director of Oxford Group of Institutions, Ramesh Raju.
