BANGALORE, NOV. 15. The State Government on Tuesday issued orders appointing a special judge to conduct the trial of cases relating to TADA detenus in the State.
The Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Mr. D. B. Chandre Gowda, told presspersons here today that this would facilitate speedy trial of the detenus' cases, pending before the District Judge in Mysore.
The Government was committed to releasing the detenus and there was no going back on the promise.
Relieved over the release of the Kannada actor, Mr. Rajkumar, the Home Minister, Mr. Mallikarjuna Kharge, said the actor was in Erode District of Tamil Nadu and would go to Chennai before coming to Bangalore on Thursday.
