CHENNAI, AUG. 30. The Congress leader, Ms. Sonia Gandhi, today called on the family members of the late thespian, Sivaji Ganesan, and offered her condolences to them.
After paying homage to the TMC leader, Mr. G. K. Moopanar at Kamarajar Arangam, she visited the residence of the actor. Ms. Gandhi offered her condolences to Sivaji's wife, Mrs. Kamalamma, and his son, Mr. Prabhu. Expressing regret that she had not met the actor when he was alive, Ms. Gandhi spent a few moments conversing with them.
She was accompanied by Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad, Mr. Tindivanam Ramamurthi, Mr. EVKS Elangovan and Mr.K.V.Thangabalu.
