CHANDIGARH, NOV. 15. The Punjab and Haryana High Court today granted bail to the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbhandak Committee president, Bibi Jagir Kaur, in the case relating to the death of her daughter Harpreet Kaur. Mr. Justice S. S. Nijjar and directed her to appear before the CBI in New Delhi on November 17.
Bibi Kaur filed the petition in the High Court here on Thursday after a Patiala Court dismissed her pre-arrest bail after the CBI had changed the charge against her from 304 IPC (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) to 302 IPC (murder).
