Potholes: engineers told to complete work in next few days

BANGALORE, OCT. 7. The Mayor, P.R. Ramesh, on Thursday instructed the Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BMP) engineers to complete all pothole-filling work on the main roads and cross roads of Chandra Layout, Attiguppe, Jayanagar and Gurappanapalya wards within the next few days. Mr. Ramesh gave this direction while inspecting various development works, along with other corporators.

He also asked the Mahanagara Palike officials to extend all basic facilities for a new BMP building in Jayanagar ward. Later, he visited a basketball court and tailoring training centre of the BMP in the area.

In Gurappanapalya, he sought speedy disposal of ownership certificates to the dwellers of Puttayannapalya slum.

The Mayor wanted development works to immediately begin at the playground between Jayanagar 11th and 18th main roads.

Inspecting the storm water drain passing through Chandra Layout, Arundhatinagar and Tigular Layout, he directed the Mahanagara Palike officials to repair portions of the embankment which had collapsed in rain.
