Petroleum dealers' stir tomorrow

Staff Correspondent

MANGALORE: The Dakshina Kannada and Udupi Petroleum Dealers' Association will support the one-day strike called by the Federation of All India Petroleum Traders (FAIPT) on Monday to demand an increase in dealer's commission to five per cent.

All petrol pumps in the region will remain closed from dusk to dawn on the day, the president of the association, K.C. Shetty, said here on Saturday.

Speaking to presspersons, Mr. Shetty said the strike is being called as no affirmative action seemed to be forthcoming from the oil industries on long-standing matters relating to the fixing of dealers' commission on percentage basis.
