THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, AUG. 30. The five-day fiesta, organised by various Government departments at Neyyar dam was inaugurated today with the unfurling of festival flag by the local legislator, Mr. Thampanoor Ravi.
The president of the Kallikkad grama panchayat, Mr. Thazhavilakom Sasi, presided over the function. Ganamela, dance, aquatic competitions, tug of war, kalaripayattu and kilithattu have been organised in this major tourist spot of the district.
The dam premises has been illuminated by the authorities to coincide with the celebrations. The celebrations will conclude with a colourful pageantry,
