NEW DELHI, AUG. 30. Despite reiterating support to the National Democratic Alliance at the Centre, the Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference president, Dr. Farooq Abdullah, did not meet the alliance convenor, Mr. George Fernandes, to clear misunderstanding over the Central leadership's remarks implying lack of fairness in polls in the State.
Given certain uneasiness in relations with the NDA, party sources said Mr. Abdullah would like to await the alliance's proposed code for allies before deciding his next move.
