CHENNAI, OCT. 15. A doctor and his wife traveling on a two wheeler were fatally run over by a corporation lorry on Pantheon Road this evening. Police said they were thrown off their scooter after a collision with another motor cycle, before being run over.
Police identified the victims as Dr.Tushar Mehta (40) and his wife Mrs.Rita Mehta (35).
The couple were riding towards Egmore when the mishap occurred. Police have taken into custody the driver of the Corporation lorry, G. Suresh and the motorist involved in the collision, V. Chandran.
