City boy dies in Hyderabad

BANGALORE: Amjad (15) from Bangalore, who was in coma in Hyderabad's Osmania General Hospital, died on Monday morning.

Amjad, who was admitted to the neurosurgical care ward on May 21, died before the hospital authorities began to receive phone calls from people offering to help provide treatment to him, following a report in The Hindu .

Amjad was admitted to the hospital with no information about his parents. He had told Osman, who runs a tea stall near Nampally Railway station in Hyderabad, that he had run away from home with Rs. 1,000. Amjad's body is kept in the Osmania hospital mortuary.

Meanwhile, in Bangalore, the police said they have no clue about Amjad's parents.
