NASIK, NOV.15. Hearing in a defamation case against the Shiv Sena chief, Mr. Bal Thackeray, in the Judicial Magistrate First Class court here has been postponed to November 29.
Mr. M.V. Mirikar adjourned the hearing as neither the Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister, Mr. Chhagan Bhujbal nor Mr. Thackerkay was present today.
Mr. Bhujbal filed the case against Mr. Thackeray for his defamatory writings in the Shiv Sena mouthpiece Saamna.
Mr. Bhujbal also filed the suit against the Executive Editor, Mr. Sanjay Raut, and the printer and publisher, Mr. Subhash Desai, for publication of a series of articles in the daily on July 23 and 24, 1997, allegedly maligning him.
The Sena chief and two others appeared before the court twice in the past.
