dated April 16, 1953: Alimony for Rita Hayworth

Judge A. J. Maestretti in Reno, Nevada granted a decree of divorce and alimony to actress Rita Hayworth against her husband Prince Aly Khan, son of the Aga Khan. The amount she decreed was 48,000 US dollars a year, to be continued for the support of the couple's daughter Yasmin, three years and-a-half old. The alimony was to be paid yearly till the child attained the age of 18. The order, however, was applicable only in Nevada State. The divorced couple, Aly Khan and Miss Hayworth, had never been able to arrive at a settlement for the maintenance of their daughter Yasmin. At one stage, the actress had demanded a sum of three million dollars.
