Will it sting or taper?

TEHELKA AND Tarun Tejpal are back. This time their aim is to bring out a weekly newspaper. Said to be a "people's newspaper," this new venture is to be funded by eminent personalities and also subscriptions by common readers interested in exposing the grime of polity and society.

Sounds pretty grandiose, isn't it? But, with names like Kapil Sibal, Ram Jethmalani and others being actively involved in bringing the latest publication into the market, many want to know whether they have a political or perhaps, even a personal agenda.

Even if they don't, are they going to represent the common readers which Tejpal is promising his latest baby would cater to? Wait and see the first copy before subscribing is the general refrain.
