When tutors learn

WE LIVE in an information age where it has become indispensable for almost everyone to be a computer literate.

However, one need not know all the intricacies involved in computers. It is adequate if one understand the basics. A word-processing programme, an analytical tool and a database management programme is all that a person requires to familiarise with initially.

These simple tools come in quite handy for teachers, especially during presentations and interactive sessions. Teachers of the National Model Matriculation School, Peelamedu, learnt some of these programmes and their expediency during a two-month training programme organised recently. They were exposed to MS Word, Excel and Power Point.
