Verbal dazzle

IT WAS a verbal dazzle all the way at an impromptu speaking competition. The contestants had to stand up, choose a topic, speak immediately, and shut up before the screen turned red. And how they rose to the challenge!

The competition was "Speak A Min", and the judges included Diana Tharoor, Pritam Koilpillai, both theatre and music persons, and Glen Bras, a HR pro. One of the topics went like this: football is a collision sport while dancing is a contact sport. T. Chendil Kumar was the winner, and Sudarshan the runner up in the toastmasters segment, and Anita Joy and Vishen the winner and runner up in the open segment. The event was organised by Toastmasters India.
