TRULY DELECTABLE: The Punjabi cuisine casts an appetising spell.  

Hot and spicy. Full tasty. The spread is lavish and, of course, truly delectable. Aroma from the buffet table wafts across the hall and a peek at the menu is enough for the stomach to start growling. Is that Punjabi?

Has to be for which other cuisine can case such an appetising spell. Venue, the vegetarian restaurant at the Quality Inn Residency, is hosting a Punjabi Food Festival and it's time to dig in heels for a sumptuous fare.

Till May 26, the menu changes every day and offers a wide range of food from `Sarson Da Saag' to `Dum Aloo Punjabi'. Included in the menu is authentic stuff like `Kofta Nargisi', `Rajma Chawal', `Hariyali Pulao', `Ludhiyanni Kadi', `Amritsari Bhutte Ki Sabzi' and `Kebab Ki Sabzi'.

Check the `dal' series without which the Punjabi fare remains incomplete. The food festival has one or two dals every day right from `Dhaba Dal' to `Dal Makhani' and `Dal Rajwadi'. Stuff like the `Stuffed Capsicum' and `Baigan Ka Bharta' is sure to end up making you asking for more.

Do leave some space in some corner of the tummy for desserts like `Phirni' and `Rajbhog' and drown all that with choicest of lassis. Already hungry kya?

After `Lassi Festival' and `Punjabi Festival', Vinod N. Sharma, Quality Inn General Manager, promises many more events in the days to come. "Each will be non-conventional and will bring vegetarian cuisine from different regions,'' he says.
