Venkat school wins kho-kho title

STUDENTS OF the Venkat International Public School emerged runners-up in the Cluster VII level CBSE Kho-Kho championship 2004-05.

The team members include Mithali K., Preeti Jain, Varsha N., Varsha S., Vinitha, Usha R., Samanthashree, Rohini, Swathi K., Paridhi Jain, Gitanjali R., and Arpita (captain of the team). Arpithat won the best chaser award.

THE FATHER of the Nation was remembered through recitation of shlokas and other cultural programmes on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti at the Delhi Public School, Bangalore North.

The students of the school presented skits and songs in Hindi, Sanskrit, English, and Kannada. The show, according to the school, was aimed at throwing light on the ideologies of Mahatma Gandhi. One of the unique programmes was the depiction of Gandhian philosophy and principles through English rap.

Sneh Preet Sial, head of the institution, asked the students to develop a positive attitude and work for the upliftment of the underprivileged.
