Trade Fair is coming

Make Pragati Maidan in New Delhi your destination this year and give your business destiny a cutting edge -- that is the invitation from the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) which is organising the "India International Trade Fair 2002'' from November 14 to 27.

While the theme focus of the annual trade fair this year is "Services, Exports and Tourism'', there will be a Himalayan exposition transporting the visitor to the grandeur of the lofty snow-capped peaks and pristine purity of the majestic Himalayas. In addition, there will be a laser show in the form of exquisite interplay of lights in the backdrop of Mansarovar Lake.

This year, ITPO celebrates its silver jubilee and a commemorative stall depicting its growth and progress in the service to trade and industry over the last 25 years through slides and audio-visuals will be mounted at the venue.

With participation of over 7,000 firms from India and overseas, the trade fair will woo businesspersons and trade visitors at exclusive hours earmarked for them. A business information centre will be set up to provide answers to queries relating to procedures for setting up business here.

The special displays include an exhibition of low cost building materials by HUDCO, an assortment of artefacts embodying best traditions of skill and craftsmanship entitled "Saras'', Techmart and Good Living exhibitions. Of course, all States will set up their own pavilions and cultural programmes held all through the duration of the fair.
