Tips on better parenting

STEVEN R. Covey, author of the phenomenal Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, seems to have loved a day out in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Malleswaram (KVM), on Friday.

The schoolchildren, along with their mothers, sat in rapt attention as Mr. Covey unleashed his repertoire of wisdom. Fun, frolic, and focussed thinking combined in perfect harmony as he spoke about shaping personalities. It was KVM's way of boosting the mothers' level of thinking.

Sulatha Senoy, child psychologist, attempted to make the mothers more responsive to the rigours of change all around. She spoke much about their role in helping their children become balanced persons and good citizens. Just getting the homework done did not make mothers great.
