Time for Govt. to act

Reports on the ill-effects of the chemicals that go freely into the making of soft-drinks make one shudder at the idea of consuming them. But nothing substantial has been done to allay the fears of the public. The Government should constitute a high power committee consisting of top environmentalists, scientists, biochemists and engineers to probe the reported contamination of these popular soft drinks. And, the Government must exercise its power to implement the recommendations of the committee once the report is submitted.
