The new order?

IT IS no mean task to regulate the city's traffic. Yet, hope wins over frustration for this young student near Island Grounds, one of the hundreds of school volunteers all over the metro, who often take their task more seriously than the men in uniform.

The irony of the situation is that in the area around many schools, the students fight a tough battle with vehicles, simply to cover the short stretch to the gate. The monsoon has made things difficult, and in several localities, schools are surrounded by slushy streets and no footpaths.

Will the old order change and give place to the new, represented by such youngsters?
