Taming the unruly motorist

Suresh Gopi at the NATPAC seminar.

IS THE film actor, Suresh Gopi, devoting his attention to road safety? So it would appear from his speech at a road safety programme organised by NATPAC. The actor said he had purchased a video camera to capture the unruly behaviour of road users, especially motorists on the national highways of the State. "I have lot of footage of the unruly behaviour of the motorists,'' he said.

Suresh Gopi said utilising the out-dated movie cameras and roping in 500 unemployed youth may reduce the road mishaps in the State to an extent.

These youth can be stationed in different spots all over the national highways of the State and record the `unruly behaviour' of motorists on camera so that offenders can be fined by the Motor Vehicles Department.

This has been brought to the attention of the Chief Minister, A.K. Antony.
