Stop overburdening

Sir, -- No one will dispute the fact that private managements that set up self-financing professional colleges will have to spend huge amounts to provide the infrastructure and to meet the recurring expenses to keep the institutions running. The legitimate resources the managements can draw for the running the colleges are the fees levied from students. Naturally, the fee rate has to be on the higher side than the Government rates. This reality needs to be reconciled with the responsibility the private self-financing institutions have towards society. To achieve this reconciliation, the managements should be given the freedom to fix fee-rates applicable to the students admitted under the management quota.
