Statutory warning

Independent investigations from several quarters have revealed that there are harmful impurities in soft drinks. The Government may not be able to put a blanket ban on these products. But it can definitely implement the use of a "statutory warning" on bottles, as is seen on cigarette packets and liquor bottles. And people may consume it at their own risk. The Government should ban the advertisements of soft drinks as well.

Are the soft drink manufacturers alone to blame? If we have contaminated all our water resources with indiscriminate use of pesticides, what can the manufacturers do?

Nobody has tested the normal drinking water available at Plachimada to find out the presence of pesticides in it.
