The sanctity of examination timetables is no longer being maintained by the universities of Kerala as they used to do in the past. Several examinations are being held long after their original schedule which in turn delays the publication of results. Many students are not able to pursue higher studies in new generation courses outside the State because of it. They either have to go in for conventional courses in the State or face the prospects of losing one year. While some say that the universities themselves or the Inter-University Consultative Committee should find a solution to the problem, others have gone to the extent of seeking governmental intervention.
