Opening doors

REFORMS IN jails! Too big a term for these kids of convicts to understand. For these young 'uns, the four walls of the jail was everything.

But a decision by jail authorities brought in a welcome change in their otherwise restricted lives.

According to the new decision, children of the inmates of Chanchalguda Women Jail are sent to local private schools, opening up a whole new world to them.

And the Home Minister, T. Devender Goud, himself came to greet them on the occasion.

Going to a private school was a joyous experience for these kids.

The Minister, too, seemed to be happy, because he was heralding a revolutionary concept.
