Music platform

An `effervescent' group

An `effervescent' group

This Saturday, two of Bangalore's big bands, Antaragni and Thermal And A Quarter (TAAQ), share a stage for the "first time ever" at the "RainSeed Festival".

The fest is a monthly edition of art and music. And Hariharan, its principal co-ordinator, calls the event a "wonderful opportunity to get the city's artists together. Anyone and everyone is invited to join in...the idea is to create a platform for every artiste and every connoisseur". On December 6, you can hear the "effervescent" Raghu Dikshit of Antaragni and the "inimitable" Bruce Lee Mani of TAAQ. Plus there will be a cameo performance by Ashvin Mathew, a stand-up comedy artiste, and a rendering of the songs of "Jesus Christ Superstar" and "Evita" by a Delhi-based itinerant musician.

The event is on at `TownsEnd', an eco-village at Yelahanka. For donor passes, call Arijit (98455 12322), Suraiya (5531699), or Bruce (98453 84297).For directions, log onto www. thermal andaquarter.com
