Maritime event

THE FORTHCOMING India International Boat Show 2003, being organised by Kerala Tourism in Kochi, is expected to be South Asia's premier boat and maritime event.

Organised in association with India Tourism and India Trade Promotion Organisation, the show will be held from September 26 to September 28. The show will receive comprehensive support from the Southern Naval Command, Cochin Port Trust and Cochin Shipyard and bring together tremendous business opportunities from India to a common platform.

The first national boat show organised in Kochi some time agoback was a big success and generated national attention.

Encouraged by the response, Kerala Tourism had re-branded it as International Boat Show.

The scope of the show has been expanded with the inclusion of special segments for sport boating, leisure boating, defence boating, boating equipment, technology and software.

The national boat show had attracted over 50 exhibitors, 250 trade visitors and 1,500 boating enthusiasts and was organised in association with Indian Navy, Coast Guard, Cochin Port Trust, Cochin Shipyard, India Tourism, National Institute of Water Sports, CII, FICCI and Kerala Inland Navigation Corporation.

Boat builders, boat chandlers, boat interior designers, marine construction companies to shipyards and ports are expected to participate in the three-day event.

The show will be the biggest opportunity for boat and equipment manufacturers and dealers across India and abroad to interact and do business.

The show will enable exhibitors and buyers to develop business, enter tie-ups and bag long-term contracts like never before.

The formation of a global media network at the event will ensure remarkable exposure for the participants.
