Hopping to hometown

NO FRILLS and low cost is its USP. And Air Deccan, which launched cheap flights to small cities and destinations such as Mangalore and Hubli this week, has become a pioneer in bringing to India a concept that has been around a long time elsewhere. And it had the Chief Minister, S.M.Krishna, quite gung-ho about the idea. Well, the Defence Minister, George Fernandes, didn't hide his glee at the chance to try this "short cut" to his hometown, Mangalore.
