Foreign students teach yoga

At Madhuram Narayan Centre, a school for special children, three youngsters — two from England and one from France — have been teaching yoga and communication skills to mothers and children. While Sebestien Gergaud of Champaign in France teaches yoga that he learnt at Krishnamachari Yog Mandiram there, the British students came to the school to teach playacting.

Tim Moody and George Meyrick enacted the daily chores in a snow cleaner's life.

They have taught half-a-dozen students the game. Though the students repeated the game perhaps without wholly understanding the concept, the fact that the children followed the leader is a lesson well learnt, according to the mothers who participated in the event.

Mr. Gergaud learnt yoga from a Belgian disciple of Desikachar, founder of the Mandiram.

He has taken up special education as a subject at college and the four-month training at Madhuram Narayan Centre is part of his course.
