Fiery rhythms

Music on the right track

IT'S GOING to be a finale in the "grande" style, one that will fuse many musical styles. We're talking about music group Antaragni's performance here on February 28 at 7 p.m.

The concert will mark the conclusion of the 8th East West Music and Dance Encounter organised by the Bangalore School of Music (BSM). The BSM director, Aruna Sunderlal, says it will be a heady evening, full of "fiery rhythms and ragas" in Antaragni's own inimitable style.

The band comprises Raghu "Cocaine" Dixit (he sings "Like Cocaine" at all his shows) on guitar and doing the vocals, lyrics and composition along with Manoj George on violin, composition and arrangement. The band collaborates with new musicians every time it performs. And February 28 will be no different.

The concert begins at 7 p.m. at the St. John's Hospital Auditorium. Donor passes are available at Supermarket (Brigade Road), Alliance Francaise, and at BSM.
