HE IS just 27 but has been giving magic shows ever since he was a schoolboy of 10 in Cannanore, Kerala.

Since moving to Bangalore 14 years ago, Christo, aka Magician Joe Peravoor, has been entertaining customers in top restaurants such as Banjara, The Chancery, and Tiffany's and now at the Pizza Hut.

"I call this table magic and entertain guests while they are waiting, making plates disappear or cutlery multiply before their eyes," he says.

There is another side to the ever-smiling Christo.

For many months now, he has been spending every Saturday morning at the Kidwai Institute of Oncology, entertaining terminally ill children and bringing cheer to their last days.

"Often the families of adult patients also call me to their bedside and I entertain them... seeing patients in pain break into a smile gives me a lot of satisfaction," he says.
