Dream comes true

A BUNCH of enthusiastic college students jam together, record their music at A.R. Rahman's studio, shoot their own video with Miss South India and get HMV Saregama to release their album... all before they pass out of college!

It's a dream come true for budding pop star Arun, a Visual Communication student from Loyola (currently doing his PG at LIBA) who along with his buddies, Ross and Praveen (who composed the music), recorded `Kanavanathey' in `Chennai City' (which incidentally, the title of another track from their debut album `Partha Partha').

Grandson of the late V.G. Panneerdas, Arun pre-tested his album, by inviting students from city colleges for the screening of the video of `Kanavanathey' (shot by Prasad Das and cinematography by Sahadevan), featuring Miss South India Shamshad and classmate Pradeep.

The album that features six songs — a mix of youthful dance and pop ballads, will be launched later this month at Landmark, Spencer's Plaza.
