IT WAS a help of a different kind from the police. In an attempt to put an end to the garbage woes, the B-6 Policemen, went out of their way to help public, thus exuding camaraderie.

The team joined hands with the residents of Ward No. 3 and the Friends of Police to place trashcans on the busy Avinashi Road and in Ward No. 3 recently.

In a specially organised function, the policemen urged the traders and general public not to dump the garbage on streets.

The Assistant Commissioner of Police (Law and Order-Coimbatore East), Rajendra Prasad, the Zonal Sanitary Inspector of Coimbatore Corporation, Karuppuchetty, B-6 Inspector, Ashok Natarajan and sanitary inspector of Ward No 3, A. Amalraj, took part.
