CD on India

HOW DO you teach a five-year old the history of the country?

Where textbooks are considered a dull and heavy solution, edutainment CDs try to fill in. City-based multimedia publisher, Satvat Infosol, will release an educational CD title, `My India', targeting children in the age group of 5 to 12 years. Through use of simple yet interesting animations, the publishers hope to take lessons in history, geography, national symbols, leaders, states, languages and metro cities.

"We have added elements to the CD based on the feedback received from children who tested the product. In fact, the quiz programmes and increased interactivity was an outcome of the beta testing we conducted in the four months of putting the product together," said Sunithi S. Ramesh, CEO of Satvat.

The CD-ROM priced at Rs. 145 will be released on Children's Day and distributed through major bookstores.
